Starting today, users of Hover email will see a new webmail login page.
The new page is more in line with Hover’s branding, provides some additional help for those logging into webmail and a link back to Hover.com.
Our Support Team has noted quite a few occasions where customers were confusing the webmail login with the sign in for their Hover accounts. On the new login page for webmail, you’ll note links to help articles about changing webmail passwords and also a link to the Hover account sign in where customers can manage their domains. We hope that this will help make logging in a little less confusing.
We also removed a setting from the login page. You will no longer see the “Shared Computer” option that would log users out after 4 hours. Customers were confused by this setting and it didn’t offer any additional security for those actually on shared computers (like at a library or Internet cafe) where the proper choice would have been to leave the box unchecked and to also leave the “Stay signed in” box unchecked as well.
Instead, you’ll have a single choice – “Stay signed in”. If checked, you’ll remain signed in until you logout of webmail even if you close your browser. If left unchecked, you’ll automatically be logged out when you close the browser or tab for webmail.
If you are using a public computer, you should either leave the box unchecked, or log out of webmail when you are finished your webmail session.
Note that only the login page for webmail was updated in this release. The webmail interface itself remains the same.
